What short courses should I do along with BAF?

Certificate courses—A one-stop-shop to staying ahead of the curve

Competition is on the rise in every single field across every single economy in the world. There are too many people fighting for a limited number of employment opportunities. How do you set yourself apart from the crowd? How do you be distinct and differentiate yourself from every other applicant? Simple, ‘DO MORE’. This sounds like a Utopian ideology but it is true. Employers are looking for people who are focused, who are willing to treat the corporation like kin and who are willing to simply ‘DO MORE’ than what the competition is willing to do. A great way for graduation students, graduated students and employed personnel to ‘DO MORE’ is by doing short courses about things that will aid them at their job and the company in general.

For an up and coming course like BAF, this is very crucial. Certificate courses both online and offline, workshops are tools that every BAF student should use to make themselves better with the subject knowledge of their domain. Numerous accounting and finance workshops are held across the country by eminent professionals, one has to constantly be vigilant and keep out an eye for these to not miss out on the opportunities near them. Various universities in India as well as outside India have their distance learning programmes which are a boon for BAF students looking at mastering Accounts, Financial Planning, Strategy Making, Portfolio Management, International Finance, Taxation, etc. Many e-learning platforms have also started to flourish and be accepted in the mainstream corporate world as legitimate proof of competence.

The following are some certified online courses that we’d recommend for BAF students:

Cost: $21,000 (approx. INR 14,70,000)

Apart from this, there are a lot of free courses available online which may or may not be certified. If learning is your only objective then we’d recommend these courses but if you are looking at these courses as value-adding devices to your CV then we’d recommend certified courses, simply because they are widely accepted nowadays as a measure for someone’s competence and skill. Graduate degrees and undergraduate degrees or certificate courses from physical universities (offline courses) aren’t the only valid proponents of an individual’s education anymore. But these courses still carry more value than online courses do. There has to be a good balance in today’s phygital realm, where there is a good physical institute whose degree you hold along with undertaking courses on digital platforms who are acclaimed and legitimate.
