Thus your preparation, study material, target has to be decided with extreme care and patience. One wrong decision can cost you losing s seat in to your desired IIM.

IIM oriented preparation for CAT:

You have to make sure you devote at the least of 2 to 3 hours every day to the preparation of CAT for getting a seat in the IIM’s. Now if you are someone who has a job and is planning to appear for CAT, you should know this very well that for you Time Management plays a very important and crucial role in deciding your fate. You need to be very careful in what are you investing your time in. It ultimately depends on your job timings. Jobs usually go up to a maximum of 8 hours. Now if you take up CAT Coaching it will again take another 2- 4 hours at the least and the rest depends up on the coaching. Now here you must know how to strike a balance between the two. Devote time to both your job and coaching and just an additional 2 hours of self-study in one day will suffice. Otherwise you have another option wherein you prepare for it by yourself without coaching which will save you a lot of time and energy or manage your time very crucially. Also the study material you pick makes a lot of difference.

Picking the right material and the perfect one seems impossible at times but it is not that difficult.  Now a lot of candidates appearing for CAT do not really pay a lot of importance to the preparatory material of CAT and just pick any book for namesake or just because the seller recommends it. However, it is important for a candidate to clearly go through a number of reviews before picking the right book for the preparation of the CAT Examination. Since the year 2015, the pattern of questions asked or the types of questions asked have changed and hence it is also important to keep in mind that you only have to pick those books based on the pattern of questions asked in the CAT Examination.
