Introduction to XAT in Malad
XAT (Xavier Aptitude Test) is national-level management entrance examination conducted by XLRI, Jamshedpur for admission to MBA/PGDM programme. XAT score is accepted and applicable by more than 700B schools. XAT is an online based exam. XAT is taken by approximately 90,000 candidates each year.XAT is scored on the %tile basis.XAT is conducted at various centers in 46 cities across India. XAT takes place only once a year and is generally scheduled around 1st week of January every year. XAT is only conducted once a year. XAT registrations shut around last week of November.Candidates who have a 3 year bachelor degree are eligible to appear for XAT. Candidates who are in their final semester of their bachelor degree or who are awaiting their results are also eligible to appear for XAT. There is no upper age limit to appear for XAT. Registration fee for XAT is 1700/-
What is the syllabus for XAT?
XAT is conducted by XLRI(Jamshedpur). XAT is divided into 4 sections- Verbal Ability & Reading Comprehension; Decision Making, Quantitative Aptitude and General Awareness. The scores of the following 3 sections of XAT i.e -Verbal Ability & Reading Comprehension; Decision Making, Quantitative Aptitude are taken into consideration for short listing in XLRI Jamshedpur. The general Awareness section of XAT is taken into consideration for the personal round of interview post XAT scores are declared.XAT has negative marking scheme wherein 75 questions have negative marking and 25 questions are without negative marking scheme. In XAT you are awarded 1 positive mark for each right answer and negative 0.25 for each wrong answer. XAT for students in Malad is a 3 hour long exam and contains 100 questions.
