Introduction to MHCET Law in Andheri

CET is the Common Entrance Test which is conducted for admissions in full time courses for an undergraduate in Law in professional colleges across Maharashtra. MHCET Law is applicable for admission in both 3 year LLB and 5 year LLB.

Paper pattern of MHCET Law

The paper of MHCET Law consists of 150 questions. Each question in the MHCET Law for one mark making it a total of 150 marks. It is a multiple choice based paper and the MHCET Law does not have any negative marking. The MHCET Law is of 120 minutes in total and is conducted two languages, Hindi and English.

Syllabus

MHCET Law syllabus consists of subjects like Legal aptitude and Legal reasoning, General knowledge with current affairs, Logical and Analytical Reasoning, English and Math. Legal aptitude and Legal reasoning includes Indian polity including Executive, Judiciary and Legislature, Law prepositions with facts and Constitution in MHCET Law. General knowledge with current affairs subject in MHCET Law has topics like History (with special reference to modern history and legal history such as GOI acts, Freedom struggle, etc), Indian Geography upto the 12th Std, Latest rules and amendments and Current affairs like new events of national and international importance, appointments, sports, awards etc. Topics included in the Logical and analytical reasoning are Completing arguments, drawing well-supported conclusions, Reasoning by Analogy, Applying principles or rules, Sets and statements, puzzle, blood relation, series etc in MHCET Law. English comprises of vocabulary, Synonyms and Antonyms, An

MHCET Law Eligibility Criteria for 5 year LLB and 3 year LLB programme?

For a 5 year LLB programme in MHCET the candidate must have completed at least 10th and 12th standard with minimum 45% aggregate in both. To be eligible for 3 year programme through MHCET Law the candidate must have completed 10+2+3 with minimum 45% aggregate in each. In MHCET Law eligibility for general candidates is 45%, for SC/ST from Maharashtra it is 40%, for OBC,SBC,NT(A)/DT/VJ from Maharashtra is 42% and for other states students eligibility for MHCET Law is 45%.

MHCET Law Application fee?

The application fee for general category is around INR 800 of MHCET Law. While for SC/ST and OBC it is approximately INR 400.

Subject wise marks distribution in MHCET Law?

For a 5 year LLB in MHCET Law Logical and Analytical reasoning is of 40 marks(40 questions), General knowledge with current affairs is for 30 marks(30 questions), Legal Aptitude and Legal reasoning is of 40 marks(40 questions), English section is worth 30 marks(30 questions) and Math is of 10 marks(10 questions). For a 3 year LLB in MHCET Law Logical and Analytical reasoning is of 30 marks(30 questions), General knowledge with current affairs is for 40 marks(40 questions), Legal Aptitude and Legal reasoning is of 30 marks(30 questions), English section is worth 50 marks(50 questions). There is not Math in MHCET Law for a 3 year LLB.

Reading a newspaper daily is important and note down the important news and events to prepare current affairs. Reading an english news paper is particularly beneficial as it will also improve english grammar and vocabulary. Regularly attempt for mock tests for targeted study.
