Introduction to MHCET in Andheri

When and How is CET conducted?
CET in Andheri is the conducted in the month February or March across various centres in multiple cities of Maharashtra. CET is an online test which is conducted on secure computers of all the assigned centres and is only conducted once in a year.
What is the paper pattern and scoring in CET?
In total CET consists of 200 questions. The 200 questions in CET are divided into four sections, namely Logical Reasoning, Abstract Reasoning, Quantitative Aptitude and Verbal Ability and Reading Comprehension. Each section has a particular distribution of questions i.e. Logical Reasoning has 50 questions, Abstract Reasoning has 25 questions and Quantitative Aptitude and Verbal Ability comprise of 50 questions each.
In CET each correct answer is of one mark. There is no negative marking in CET, making it a total of 200 marks. Depending on the marks you score you get a percentile ranking.
What is the duration and validity of CET score
The CET is of 2 hours and 30 minutes in which the 200 questions from the four sections need to be answered. The score of CET is valid for 1 year, after which you need re-give the test for your admissions.

As such there is no syllabus to follow for the preparation of CET in Andheri. However a student can prepare for the CET by studying for the topics covered in all the sections of test. Logical and Abstract Reasoning consists of pie charts, tables, reasoning questions(visual and logic). What is the eligibility criteria for CET?
For an CET MBA you need a graduation degree in any discipline from a recognised university. For being able to give the CET you need to have passed your graduation with a minimum of 50% aggregate. In case you are from reserved category, you need to have cleared your graduation with at least 45% to be eligible for the CET. The students who are in the final year of graduation and want give the test are also eligible to appear for the CET in Andheri.
Can you use calculators in CET?
Since in CET there are many BODMAS and basic numeric questions they can be solved easily. Therefore the use of calculators are prohibited in CET. Questions can easily be answered with mental calculations. Even though the CET in Andheri is conducted online, virtual calculators on the computer also cannot used.
