Today coaching classes have become ubiquitous in the life of city students. They are simultaneously a compulsion and at the same time criticized a lot. According to a study undertaken by Stanford University college student coaching improves retention and graduation rates. Ironically, not doing the right thing or making mistakes are steps in the learning process. The four steps in the learning process as per Abraham Maslow are Unconscious incompetence Conscious incompetence Unconscious competence Conscious competence With this backdrop and with a salute to Goddess Saraswati Mr. A.S. Iyer took upon himself to form an institution which would be teaching with a feedback process which makes teaching a learning process. Toppers Tutorials was thus born in July 2007 with a modest beginning of 5 students and today is proud to see many of its students on the verge of becoming qualified Chartered Accountants. Today along with Toppers Tutorials Mr. A.S. Iyer is an adjunct professor in an MBA College and many other teaching faculty members have joined him in this pursuit with the same mission and vision. It is not important to teach many students than to teach a few students (per batch) the values of learning with a purpose, passion and zeal.
