Introduction to CMAT in Malad
CMAT is a three-hour test. The question paper consists of 4sections: Quantitative technique, Logical Reasoning, Language Comprehension, General Awareness.
There are 25 questions in each section. While each correct answer carries four marks, each wrong answer will carry one negative marking.
AICTE has now decided to conduct CMAT in Foreign Countries for facilitating eligible NRIs/PIOs and foreign nationals to appear in CMAT for seeking admission in institutions in India following CMAT merit list under special provisions defined in AICTE Approval Process and against all vacancies left after completion of centralized admission in management institutions.
CMAT was held twice in a year but last year the practice was abolished as AICTE decided to hold the exam once a year on the third Sunday of January.

Common Management Admission Test, also known as CMAT is a national level postgraduate entrance exam relating to all management programmes. CMAT 2020 is an online (computer-based) exam of 3 hours comprising multiple choice of objective questions.
Is there any negative marking in CMAT exam?
Yes, there is negative marking for CMAT in Malad. For every wrong answer 1 mark gets deducted. Duration of test is 180 minutes (3 hours). Rough work cannot be done on any other paper/sheet, as nothing will be allowed inside the testing room. No breaks will be given during the test.
