The CAT exam registrations process will begin in the first week of August and conclude in the month of September. The application form can be filled online only. The fee for registration is ₹2000 and should be paid at the time of submitting the form. The registration process can be explained as follows:
- Candidates will have to register on the official website by entering personal details and get verified by entering OTP received during the process.
- After the registration ,candidates will receive a user ID and password on their respective email ID or mobile numbers which can be used to access the application form The forms must be filled carefully with valid information only.
- Lastly the candidates can proceed to payment option after furnishing all the details. Fees can only be paid online through net banking or credit/ debit card.
Though CAT is easy, it is also a highly competitive examination as over 2 lakh MBA aspirants appear for this exam every year.

The overall percentage of women at B schools have increased to 33.5% from 26% last year. Sai Reddy who scored 100 percentile in cat 2017 with a score of 232.32/300 is the highest score recorded in CAT.
