This exam aims to test the candidate\u2019s ability in Engineering &amp; Technology \/Science\/Architecture subjects in compendious manner. The performance of a candidate is reflected in the form of a GATE score, which is calculated on basis of relative performance. through\u00a0GOAPS\u00a0(GATE Online Application Processing System).<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Candidate has to upload the certificate from the principal, scanned signature and photograph.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The application fee payment can be processed either through\u00a0net banking or debit card or e-challan.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3><b>Application Fee:<\/b><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The fee structure is as follows:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">For women\/SC\/ST\/PWD \u2013\u00a0Rs 750\/-<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Other Candidates \u2013\u00a0Rs 1500\/-<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3><b>GATE Exam pattern:<\/b><\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The GATE exam consists of only one paper which is of 100 marks.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">There are 65 questions asked in a GATE paper which are\u00a0 of objective type and numerical answer type (NAT).<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">These 65 questions consists of 10 questions which are being asked from the general aptitude section and carry 15 marks.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Duration:\u00a0The time allotted to solve the question paper will be 3 hours.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Mode:\u00a0Online Computer Based Test (CBT).<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Answering:\u00a0There is no choice provided for NAT questions as the answers of such questions will be entered manually using the virtual keyboard provided on the computer screen at the time of examination.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3><b>Number of attempts:<\/b><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">There is no limitation of number of allowed attempts in GATE. <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">You can attempt it as many no. of times. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Theoretically the above statement is true but if you see practically then,<\/span> <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">age plays an important role for attempting GATE.\u00a0 <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">If you are appearing GATE then there comes two possibilities;
