  • Acceptance of Score: <\/b>The scores of both the exams are widely accepted in various institutes which are heavyweights in the educational industry. GRE is globally accepted in various institutes, with more than 10 institutes accepting them as well. The GRE is also valid for 5 years. On the other hand, GATE is accepted only in India and few Singaporian universities and German institutes as well for postgraduate engineering courses. The score is valid for 3 years from the date of the result.<\/span><\/li>\n
  • Cost of Education: <\/b>There is a huge difference in the cost of education after clearing both the exams. After clearing GATE one finds himself\/herself to pay around Rs. 10 Lakh or maybe less and in some institutes it is even less because it gets balanced out from the stipend a GATE qualified aspirant gets which is around <\/span>Rs 12400\/- in India every month. On the other hand cost of education after clearing GRE is way more than GATE which is around Rs. 25-50 Lakh or even more but with a good score some institutes offer scholarships which makes it easier for students to finance their education.<\/span><\/li>\n
  • Competition Analysis: <\/b>The most important thing among all aspects is the competition because it should be known to the students about how many students compete for a single seat in these institutes. There is an increase in the number of test-takers of both the exams in 2018 GATE aspirants were around 7,80,000 which is quite a huge number but seats in premier institutes are less and seats in PSU\u2019s is even less. But on the other hand competition among GRE aspirants is fairly less because the number of students who give exam is less but seats comparatively are pretty much high so an average score would also make one successful provided the profile of the student must have to be a very good though.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    GATE is bit easy to crack after graduation, as the exam is totally based on the subjects one studied in the 4 years of engineering. The average students, by putting little effort, can sail through the exam. After qualifying GATE, students can also apply for PSU jobs. Also, GATE is the best option if students wish to study in the prestigious IITs and don\u2019t desire going abroad to study. The common problem they face is after completing their Master\u2019s degree, they have to compete with lakhs of engineers for landing a decent job. Students whose parents have the spending power to back them, can opt for GRE after getting their Bachelor\u2019s degree. Studying abroad in countries like Australia, New Zealand and Canada is the dream of many students, but it is expensive as well. For giving GRE, students have to join tuitions to prepare for IELTS i.e. International English Language Testing System and TOEFL. <\/span><\/p>\n

    Most of the Indian students are bright when it comes to the core engineering subjects, English being the only dreaded area they don\u2019t have a strong hold on. For studying abroad, it\u2019s crucial for them to clear such exams which means they have to go for tuition, thus adding to the total training expenditure. GRE entails admission hassles which students have to overcome before they can realise their dream of studying abroad. Whether it be GATE or GRE, what matters the most is hard work, dedication and perseverance, as ultimately what\u2019s important is a successful career, be it in India or any foreign country.
