One such class is IMS Education. IMS is one of the oldest institutions in India providing management coaching with a four-decade-old tryst with MBA aspirants.

Why join IMS?

IMS was ranked 4th in the education sector and 44th amongst the Top 50 Most Trusted Service Brands across India (AC-Nielsen & Brand Equity, December 2003). Today, IMS has more than 90 centres across India. Over 50,000 IMS students have made it to some of the most prestigious institutes in India and abroad.

40 years later, they have expanded into other sectors as well, providing training, counselling. Along with guidance for Bank PO exams, Law entrance exams and for undergraduate students. They also help students get into top tier international institutions, the likes of Harvard, Stanford, Wharton, MIT. They offer coaching for a variety of entrance exams including CAT, GMAT, CET, GRE, Bank Exams, BBA, CLAT, Admission Consulting, MAT, CMAT, XAT, SET, NMAT, IELTS, TOEFL, TISS, AILET, PTE, ACT, and SAT.

About IMS

Their motto is to mentor, motivate, guide and accompany their students till they cross the milestone of their entrance examination. They want to make their students self-aware and enable them to choose the right career decisions.

IMS provides offline courses, online courses as well as blended coaching. Blended coaching incorporates the best of both worlds. It gives their students in-depth learning as well as convenience and choice.

The History behind IMS

The age-old issue of management aspirants having to face the difficult task of selecting the right business school and the course to study was the root cause behind the inception of IMS. Aspirants often rely on untested, informal advice from friends and family to make their choice. This can lead to misinformation being relayed and miscalculated career decisions being made. It was to address this social issue that Prof Rane, founded IMS 40 years ago. Today, IMS still carries on this vision – of fulfilling a social responsibility towards the youth.

Professor N.R. Rane realized the importance of management coaching at a time when management education in India had neither popularity nor significance. With the limited technological resources available at the time, Prof Rane started correspondence training courses for various management entrance examinations. He was the ambassador for the MBA degree and its opportunities in India.

From its humble correspondence course beginnings in Bombay, Prof Rane set up several centres in Mumbai, Pune, and Delhi. These provided classroom teaching. Subsequently, IMS’s current Managing Director Kamlesh Sajnani expanded IMS’s presence across India. As a result of his vision, they established centres in every major metropolis and several smaller cities.

Students Speak

The real measure of any coaching class is not what others draw from observation but what their students have to say from the first-hand experience.

Amit Bikram who scored a 100%iler in CAT 2018, said this about IMS, “I registered for the CAT Test Series – e-Test Series Plus as preparation for CAT-2018. I found the difficulty of the IMS mock tests to be on the level of the actual CAT exam, especially the Quant section. I’d also registered for the Test Series for CAT-2017, and to my pleasant surprise, the assessment this time around was far more detailed and helpful. I thank the entire IMS team for their continuous efforts, as I owe a large part of my success to IMS.”

Another 100%iler, Niranjana Prasad Moleyar, shared his experience, saying, “I am very grateful to IMS for helping me with my interview preparation. The interview coaching offered by IMS was wonderful. They did not just focus on preparing answers to the questions that might be asked in the interview. My mentor made me think/introspect about the reason for applying for an MBA. And also to get a much better idea of my career goals. This has not just helped me in my interview but has also given me a much better perspective about myself.”

For further details, check here

KYC: Know Your Classes is a new series by Studysid where we explore the coaching classes that have made a mark in the entrance…

[5,9,11,16
34,42,46,82,84,92,95,108
