The History behind IMS<\/b><\/span><\/h2>\n

The age-old issue of management aspirants having to face the difficult task of selecting the right business school and the course to study was the root cause behind the inception of IMS. <\/span>Aspirants often rely on untested, informal advice from friends and family to make their choice. This can lead to misinformation being relayed and miscalculated career decisions being made. It was to address this social issue that Prof Rane, founded IMS 40 years ago. Today, IMS still carries on this vision \u2013 of fulfilling a social responsibility towards the youth.<\/p>\n

Professor N.R. Rane realized the importance of management coaching at a time when management education in India had neither popularity nor significance. With the limited technological resources available at the time, Prof Rane started correspondence training courses for various management entrance examinations. He was the ambassador for the MBA degree and its opportunities in India. <\/span><\/p>\n

From its humble correspondence course beginnings in Bombay, Prof Rane set up several centres in Mumbai, Pune, and Delhi. These provided classroom teaching. Subsequently, IMS\u2019s current Managing Director Kamlesh Sajnani expanded IMS\u2019s presence across India. As a result of his vision, they established centres in every major metropolis and several smaller cities.<\/span><\/p>\n
