Our tendency to believe that we know everything about a particular field or a particular concept leads us to reach unimaginable destinations in those fields. A lot of conjecture should go into the same so as not face the drawbacks for the same. GMAT turns out to be the turning point for every student who would want to secure their seats in their preferred B\u2019 schools. Hence, it is important to know how to study, how much to study, from where to study, what should be done and what not so as to stand out of the crowd. Dos for the GMAT:\u00a0<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Since you would be competing with almost 2,00,000-3,00,000 students on an average, it is important to adapt to effective study methods rather than just trying to rote learn everything you come across. Designate a proper plan as to how much time you wish to devote to a particular section. Allot a set of questions that you can solve say 50 questions per section and practice a set of 50 questions regularly.\n

  2. At your convenience, you may or may not join a coaching institute since it has its own pro\u2019s and cons. However, it is important to solve as many mock tests and as many questions possible since it will not only give you a lot of confidence but also will give you a notion of the pattern and type of questions asked.\n

  3. \u00a0It is also extremely important to start the preparation for GMAT as soon as possible but at least a minimum of 6 to 8 months prior to the examination date; The more you practice, the more beneficial it will be. It’ll save time during the GMAT Examination.\n

  4. Verbal reasoning is one such section where Critical reasoning, reading comprehensions, and sentence correction is the main approach. Hence, here the use of vocabulary and English Grammar comes into consideration. On account of such situations, it is important to have a good command over English by not necessarily indulging into mugging up all the possibilities you encounter. Reading magazines, newspapers and reference papers related to the questions or content approached in GMAT which will not only help you with improving your language but will also help with getting through your other sections.\n

  5. To increase your chances for selection, it is important to clear all of your doubts in the nick of time. Focus more on the sections which are weak and the ones you find difficult to solve. Mark the questions you are unable to solve. Create a separate book for all the difficult questions and review them frequently. This will help you avoid any glitches or errors and will also thereby save a lot of your time.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    Don\u2019ts for the GMAT Exam:<\/strong><\/h3>\n

    1. Not being Consistent is one of the main reasons why the 2\/3<\/span>rd<\/span> of the population appearing for the GMAT Examination aren\u2019t able to ace the exam with the sufficient grades to get into the top B\u2019 Schools.\n

    2. Previous year\u2019s question paper plays a crucial role in determining the pattern of questions asked and also the type of questions that tend to appear. This is one such as aspect which thereby shouldn\u2019t be ignored.\n

      <\/span><\/li>\n

    3. The importance of time management which is not very often looked upon plays an extremely crucial role in terms of The GMAT Examination. GMAT Examination DOES NOT provide you with ample of time and thus time management plays a very crucial role here.\n

    4. Do not mark any answer unless and until you are 100% sure about it. Mark the answers you are only sure of and then proceed to the next one; since the answer once marked is final and cannot be changed.\n

    5. Lack of Focus on health is going to create one of the worst blunders in your Preparation days for The GMAT Examination. It is essential to have a good 8 hours of sleep and a healthy diet with a calm mind. These factors will help you stay focussed not only during your preparation days but also on the day you take your test.\n

    6. Avoid any last-minute studies as this would only create unnecessary stress and would increase your examination anxiety and stress.
